Day 78

A while since I last blogged. Just back from 10 days in the UK and managed to remain 90% compliant to the diet. Thoroughly enjoyed my final indulgence which included a good few beers, however the hangover that followed was off the charts. Lesson learnt. 12 days to go and feeling good, just need to power through these exercises. My thoughts are now concerned with what happens after the structure of PCP has gone. In a strange way I'm not looking forward to it. Can I really live without margarine on my toast?

DAY 66

Just over 3 weeks of PCP left... Finding motivation for the exercises each night tougher to come by although still battling through them with contorted facial expressions and strange noises.... Definitely looking forward to when I can combine my normal sporting activities with parts of the PCP exercise programme. Skipping will definitely be something I continue with in the future, what a find! Loving the food programme at the moment, but my desire to eat a loaf of bread every morning remains undiminished.

Congrats to Nathan and Sarah D who have finished the 90days. Amazing results.

DAY 56

Still on track, but noticeable difference in the time it takes to complete the exercises... well over an hour now if completing them to a high standard...motivation for them doesn't come easily any more.
I don't think about food or hunger as much these days apart from the weekend where I am so used to spending half my day with my hand in the fridge!
Definitely feel some of the information from Patrick is starting to sink in, which will hopefully lead to a healthier lifestyle when PCP is finished, although that still feels in the distant future. One more month of hard work required.
Good luck to new PCP'ers, avoid this post if looking for motivation!

Lessons Learnt

Three things I have learnt about PCP:
1) You need someone to talk to endlessly about it... Otherwise you will bore the shite out of every other person you know.

2) Patricks emails in the morning are vital. They give me renewed vigour everyday.

3) You can't put a price on quality high end bread. A sandwich with crap bread is not a sandwich.

One month down...  The exercises just got harder!
Still enjoying the programme and the exercises and strangely feel less tired than before i started.
Feel like I'm processing food rather than enjoying eating. PCP world would certainly be that much brighter with a cheeky bacon sandwich thrown in once a week...

Saturday, 13 August 2011

End of the 2nd week approaching. Certainly not as hungry as i was the first week but still have mad cravings for bacon, sausages, thai green curries and friday night beers.

Have a love hate relationship with the exercise... After long days in the office I hate the thought of it but love it once started. Skipping is a revelation, lunges on the other hand are not...

Feeling positive for the coming weeks but sure this is going to get tougher! Good luck all.
